Semrush price: the plans, the paid add-ons and the real total

The Semrush price you see on the pricing page is rarely the price you pay. The plan is one line. Toolkits, users and reports come on top.

This page adds it up, from Semrush’s own pages read on 29 October 2026. We did not buy Semrush. The only tool we tested on a real account is SemChat, and its buttons here are affiliate links.

Semrush pricing as of 29 October 2026: every plan side by side

One thing first: we read the English pricing page from France, and it showed euros. Its code also holds dollar amounts, listed below for reference. Data missing: the prices a US visitor sees (planned source: the pricing page read from the United States).

Taxes are extra: Semrush’s terms say “All Fees are exclusive of taxes”.

Semrush plans: Free, SEO, Starter, Pro+, Advanced and Enterprise

• Free: no credit card, 1 demo project, 10 reports a day, 1 site and 10 keywords in Position Tracking.
• SEO: “for freelancers and small businesses”. 5 sites, 500 keywords tracked daily, site audit, keyword and competitor tools.
• Starter: same 5 sites and 500 keywords, plus 50 AI prompts tracked daily and MCP access.
• Pro+: 15 sites, 1,500 keywords, historical data, content optimisation.
• Advanced and Enterprise: on quote, for large teams.

Semrush One or SEO Classic: two names for the same toolbox?

Starter, Pro+ and Advanced belong to Semrush One, which bundles the SEO and AI Visibility toolkits. The help center prices Semrush One at $199, $299 and $549 a month.

Other Semrush pages still name “SEO Classic” Pro, Guru and Business, which the pricing page doesn’t list. How the “SEO” plan maps to “SEO Classic Pro” isn’t explained on the pages we read.

Paying monthly or yearly: what the commitment changes

Yearly billing saves “up to 17%”, paid upfront in one go. The SEO plan comes to €1,350.24 a year. You can cancel anytime, effective at the end of the period. Refunds are another story (see below).

Semrush cost beyond the plan: toolkits, users and extras

Semrush subscription add-ons: the AI Visibility, Local and Content toolkits

Each toolkit is billed on top of your plan. Prices shown per month, billed yearly (monthly prices weren’t served to us: data missing):

• AI Visibility, Base: €94.94 per month per domain, no free trial.
• Local, Base: €28.77 per month per location; Local, Pro: €57.54.
• Content, Base: €57.54 per month.

Extra users and white-label reports

Each extra user starts at €43 a month on the SEO + AI Search page. Reports cost extra too: €9.59 a month for the Basic report, €19.18 for the Pro report, which adds white label. Lead generation in the agency directory: €86.31 a month.

Semrush API pricing and MCP access: which plan you need

Semrush says it plainly: “No, Semrush MCP isn’t free.” The MCP (to chat with Semrush data in ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity) needs Starter or Pro+, or the older SEO Classic Pro and Guru, which include 50,000 API units a month. Advanced needs an extra pack of units. Packs run from 2 to 20 million units; their prices aren’t published.

Semrush’s pages disagree on the API: “available on Business plans and above” in one help article, “Advanced API data integration” reserved for Advanced on the pricing page. Ask before you buy. A chat built into Semrush itself isn’t documented on the pages we read.

Before you pay: the Semrush Free plan and the free trial

The Free plan costs nothing and asks for no card. The free trial lasts 7 days on most plans and toolkits, once per toolkit per account, and asks for a card. The AI Visibility toolkit has no trial. Our Semrush free page shows what each free option really lets you do.

How to cancel the Semrush free trial before you are charged

When you enter your card, a small amount is charged then refunded. At the end of the 7 days, payment is automatic unless you cancel before. Exports are disabled during the trial. The exact cancel clicks aren’t on the pages we read, so put a reminder on day 6.

Semrush refunds: only on a first annual plan

The refund policy of 20 August 2025 is strict: a one-time 7-day guarantee, only on a first yearly subscription paid by card on semrush.com. “Refunds are not available for month-to-month subscriptions.”

Semrush price for a small site or an online store: which plan fits

Your Semrush price depends on what you add. Here are two sums of the amounts we read, billed yearly, before taxes.

Semrush for a small business website: the real monthly total

A local business that wants SEO plus its Google listing: SEO plan (€112.52) + Local Base (€28.77) = €141.29 a month, or €1,695.48 a year paid upfront. One extra user adds €43 or more a month.

Semrush for an online store: the real monthly total

A store that wants AI visibility, MCP access and product content: Starter (€158.40) + Content Base (€57.54) = €215.94 a month, or €2,591.28 a year. Note: a Shopify connector isn’t mentioned on the Semrush pages we read.

What SemChat costs, for comparison: €0, then €20 a month

SemChat prices in euros in every language: “Every feature, in every plan. Just pick your monthly usage.” Free at €0 (“Try semchat with no credit card”), Starter at €20 a month (€16 billed yearly), Pro 5x at €100, Pro 20x at €200. The €20 shown became €24 with French VAT on Jérémy’s first invoice. Full detail on our SemChat pricing page.

Semrush vs SemChat: the full comparison
